Paula Rosales, the architect behind KITCHEN FOR LIFE

To me, all kitchens looked the same — bulky, dull, uninspiring. So...

I CREATED MY OWN KITCHEN — SUSTAINABLE, LIGHT, AND UNLIKE ANY OTHER.

The upside of being an architect!

ARCHITECT & INTERIOR DESIGNER

For over 20 years, I’ve run my studio, more&co, crafting spaces where design, exclusivity, and quality of life converge.

In my own home, I developed the first prototype of KITCHEN FOR LIFE: I eliminated the particle board from the interior frames and replaced it with a lightweight, non-toxic steel structure. I designed a system without plinths or hidden corners, ideal for maintaining a clean, healthy, and versatile environment. This kitchen is not only modern and functional, but it transformed our daily lives.

My work has earned international awards and frequent media features, but what truly inspires me is seeing how these spaces improve the lives of those who inhabit them.

WHY DO I WANT TO MAKE KITCHENS NOW?

The kitchen is the heart of the home — where we share special moments. Where else does every party end up?

Yet, most kitchens are the same: bulky furniture made from toxic materials that pollute the air we breathe.
When I renovated my home, I searched for healthier, more original alternatives… but I couldn’t find any. Inspired by a project that I was developing for an environmental medical doctor, I designed my own non-toxic kitchen.

I replaced the particle board (full of glues and adhesives) with a lightweight, modular steel structure: easy to clean, to customize, and to decorate with magnets that adhere to its steel parts. This kitchen is not only modern and original, but it transformed our daily life.

In 2021, I launched KITCHEN FOR LIFE at Casa Decor with a bold, unconventional yellow kitchen. Since then, I’ve been working to bring unique, healthy kitchens to more homes.
